About Us

And now a word from the EthicalHypnotists.com founder…

A Certified Clinical Hypnotist himself, Mark Anthony is passionate about the hypnosis field, and has been since he started in the hypnosis profession nearly two decades ago.

Mark has noticed that over the last few years, there’s been a huge influx of people jumping on the bandwagon and calling themselves Hypnotherapists/Hypnotists, and many of those people have no certifications, they've learned Hypnosis from the internet and can be a menace and very dangerous to the hypnosis seeking public!

Mark and his team decided to start EthicalHypnotists.com as a way of offering clients throughout Australia a directory of certified hypnotists and hypnotherapists that have been deemed as Certified, Professional, Ethical, Moral, and hold their own Values very high in the Profession of Hypnosis.

The directory lists 'only' hypnotists and hypnotherapists, and not hundreds of other types or modalities of therapy, as we believe that if somebody is looking for a hypnotist or hypnotherapist, they don't want to trawl through hundreds of other modalities to find one.

Mark’s standards when it comes to the Profession of Hypnosis are very high, therefore any Hypnotherapists or Hypnotists listed on EthicalHypnotists.com have had to provide proof of their certification to pass a certain criteria before being allowed to list their services on EthicalHypnotists.com, thus giving ‘you’ the client peace of mind that you’re being treated by a true Professional, and not just somebody who has jumped on the hypnosis bandwagon.

We strongly believe in the power of hypnosis for individuals who are: Looking for help to improve their lives in any way wanting to overcome life challenges, seeking self-improvement, and self-help in any way shape, or form with all of this in mind!

We are dedicated to providing you with the most groundbreaking methods of learning about your own psychological and emotional makeup. We also believe that with the resources and materials that we share from Australia’s professional hypnotists and hypnotherapists, you can move deeply and safely into a fully relaxed and focused state that will allow you to tap into the incredible power of your own mind.

Hypnosis can help you overcome a wide range of problems and issues, and improve your life in ‘many’ areas such as: insomnia, weight loss, stopping smoking, self-confidence, fear of public speaking, study habits, overcoming stress, attracting wealth and success to your life, depression and anxiety, turning your fears into your allies, past life regression, hypnosis birthing, healing your inner child, improving relationships, meditation, self-hypnosis, success and happiness, overcoming addictions, managing pain, better physical performance, healthy eating habits, creating wealth getting rid of fears and phobias, and so much more.

Professional Bodies...  As it stands to this day, there are currently no Australian laws in place that indicate the level of training an individual must have in order to perform hypnotherapy on clients, hence the vast influx in unprofessional hypnotherapists jumping on the Hypnosis bandwagon!

However, in saying this, whilst there is no official regulation in place, there are various professional bodies and societies that hypnotherapists can choose to register with if and only if they wish to. To register as a member of these associations, a hypnotherapist will be required to meet certain criteria as set by the organisation, and it is only once their credentials have been assessed and approved that they will be granted membership at the appropriate level. And whilst not all hypnotherapists or hypnotists are members of a professional body, it can be reassuring for you as the client to know that your practitioner is working to good standards of practice, and also that they have agreed to abide by both a certain code of ethics and a complaints procedure.

In terms of specific requirements for membership, criteria will vary from organisation to organisation. Some professional bodies set very strict standards for all their members, whilst others will provide different membership categories to cater for hypnotherapists of all levels (e.g. Affiliate, Licentiate, Member, Registered Member, Accredited Member, Fellow). Hypnotherapists who are a member of a professional body will make this clear on their profile. Accredited Hypnotherapists

Accreditation with a professional body signifies that a hypnotherapist has achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation. Hypnotherapy practitioners who have been accredited by their professional body will display a logo or other for their certain Member Organisations.
